Join our Adrenal Pituitary Special Interest Group for an insightful Webinar focusing on the nuances of the Growth Hormone (GH) axis. While clinical diagnosis of Acromegaly may seem straightforward, this webinar delves into situations where the patient exhibits acromegalic features despite normal growth hormone function. Similarly, we explore the complexities of biochemical testing for acromegaly, where variations in GH and Insulin-like growth-factor-1(IGF-1) levels may arise from physiologic, pathologic, and pharmacologic factors. Participate in this webinar to gain valuable knowledge that goes beyond the typical diagnostic criteria and enhance your ability to navigate the subtleties in the clinical and biochemical landscape of acromegalic presentations.

The Adrenal/Pituitary Special Interest Group arranged small group discussions during ENDO 2021 on the challenging and illuminating experiences we have all shared since the outbreak of COVID-19. This event featured networking breakout sessions based on clinical and basic science interests. Attendees with adrenal and pituitary expertise had the opportunity to discuss the new normal during the pandemic. Clinical discussions covered topics such as adapting to telehealth, tele-education, and virtual labs. The research discussion highlighted issues including adapting to research life when facing new challenges including closed labs, limited opening of labs and clinical trials, writing papers/grants remotely, and teaching in the virtual world. In addition to considerations of the new difficulties presented, we also shared lessons learned and positive byproducts of working virtually.
