Join the Entrepreneurship Special Interest Group (SIG) for a discussion on the path to successful entrepreneurship. Richard DiMarchi, PhD, Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and Gill Chair of Biomolecular Sciences, Indiana University, and former Group Vice President of Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk talks about his experiences as an entrepreneur that ultimately led to his induction into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Hear firsthand about the unique and yet overlapping research activities observed across the development value chain that typically progresses from academic laboratories to transitional biotechnology start-ups to development-focused international pharmaceutical companies. 
 
Through this session, attendees will:

  • Gain insight on what distinguishes successful science in academics, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies;
  • Learn tips on launching and transitioning successful startup business; and
