Resources for Special Interest Groups

April 30, 2020

Participation in Special Interest Groups (SIGs) is a member benefit. The resources below will help you navigate, maintain and create new SIGs.

Handbook
The SIG Handbook contains materials and information on the formation and implementation of special interest groups.  If you are interested in starting a new SIG, please review the handbook prior to completing an application.

New SIG Application
New SIGs can be proposed by emailing a completed application to community@endocrine.org. All applications will be reviewed by the Special Interest Group Advisory Panel. If the SIG meets the following qualifications, the application will be presented to the Board of Directors for approval. Applications for new SIGs must include:

  • A proposed Steering Group of at least 3 members who are willing to serve for consecutive years to support the SIG;
  • 30+ members who have indicated they would be willing to join the SIG and are committed to interacting on the online platform. Please use this template;
  • A list of goals and a formal workplan the SIG wishes to accomplish in its first 2 years under its inaugural steering group.

Download the application and send a completed copy to community@endocrine.org to apply for a new SIG.
